ViaRewind, legacy clients on modern servers

ViaRewind is a compatibility plugin that works alongside ViaVersion to let Minecraft 1.8.x and 1.7.x clients join newer Minecraft server versions without changing the original world or gameplay logic. It translates modern blocks, entities, and packets into visuals understood by older clients, so combat focused players can keep their preferred version while administrators update their infrastructure.

It supports popular proxy and Paper based environments and can optionally run on both client and server. With smart protocol rewrites and many edge case fixes, it offers smooth cross version play, which we at BoxToPlay integrate seamlessly for stable, long term communities.
