Villager Optimiser is a performance focused plugin for a Java Minecraft server running versions 1.14.2 through 1.16.5. It targets costly villager pathfinding and memory searches introduced with the 1.14 AI, especially in villages, farms, and trading halls containing many entities.
Instead of processing these searches constantly, the plugin temporarily supplies placeholder memories and releases them at intervals, allowing villagers to keep working, trading, and behaving normally while reducing unnecessary calculations. The configurable interval defaults to one pathfinding operation every 30 seconds. Its effect is strongest on 1.14.2 and 1.14.3, while later 1.14 versions already include important vanilla improvements.
