Undying Pets, protect your companions

Undying Pets is a Minecraft Java datapack that gives tamed wolves, cats, and parrots a valuable second chance. Throw a Totem of Undying at a pet and it can pick it up, then activate it automatically when fatal damage would otherwise occur, just like a player. The totem is consumed after use, so protection remains useful without making pets invincible.

The pack limits pets to picking up totems, preventing them from taking other items. Hold a totem in your main hand to make nearby protected pets glow, making their status easy to check during adventures. On our Minecraft server, BoxToPlay makes this thoughtful survival feature a natural way to keep loyal companions safer.
