It bundles the native FFMPEG components required to decode and process video, audio, images, and other media inside Minecraft, avoiding the need for a separate native multimedia application. Designed for the client, it supports Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge across several Minecraft versions.
Its role is technical rather than decorative: it gives multimedia focused mods the codecs and runtime support needed to display screens, play videos, or integrate rich media into a Minecraft server experience. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it whenever a modpack relies on WATERMeDIA based features.
