The Midnight Lurker is a Java Edition horror mod for Forge that introduces a frightening creature designed to unsettle players rather than simply provide another combat challenge. It can appear at night or underground, quietly watches from the darkness, and creates tense encounters through atmospheric sounds, sudden appearances, and persistent stalking. The mod supports Minecraft 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1, with client and server compatibility.

When the Lurker is spotted, looking directly at it may make it teleport away. Approaching without looking can provoke an attack, while hiding behind ordinary doors may not be enough to stay safe.
