Spice of Fabric, a more varied food system

Spice of Fabric is a Minecraft Fabric mod inspired by Spice of Life that makes eating more meaningful. As players repeatedly consume the same foods, their nutritional value decreases, encouraging a diverse diet instead of relying on dried kelp, farmed meat, or golden carrots. By default, the system considers the last 20 meals, while configurable formulas let each Minecraft server adjust the pace and difficulty.

The mod also offers Carrot Mode, where players unlock additional hearts by discovering different foods, plus optional paper bags, lunch boxes, and picnic baskets for storing and eating from several food stacks. At BoxToPlay, we see it as a practical way to enrich survival and reward exploration.
