Easy Disenchanting

Easy Disenchanting is a vanilla friendly Minecraft mod for Java Edition that gives the anvil a useful new role. Place an enchanted tool, weapon, armor piece, or other compatible item with a blank book, and the mod transfers its enchantments onto an enchanted book while returning the original item without its enchantments. This makes valuable gear easier to reuse instead of losing its best upgrades.

The mod can also add enchantments to an already enchanted book, combining them through familiar anvil rules. Experience costs follow vanilla style behavior by default, with configuration options for balance. On our Minecraft server, BoxToPlay makes this practical for long term progression.
