Critters and Companions is a vanilla style creature mod that enriches the Overworld with charming animals and useful companions. Otters open clams for pearls, koi fish bring luck in groups, and sea bunnies provide materials for slime blocks. The mod also introduces dumbo octopuses, dragonflies, leaf insects, red pandas, shima enagas, jumping spiders, beetles, snails, ladybugs, and more.

Several creatures can be tamed, bred, equipped, or assigned helpful roles. Ferrets hunt and dig for loot, red pandas scare away threats, ladybugs heal nearby pets, and jumping spiders protect you.
