Snowy Biomes: Enhanced is a server side Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that gives cold regions a more convincing winter atmosphere. During snowfall, tree leaves turn white in a style inspired by Bedrock Edition, while snow layers spread beneath canopies instead of leaving exposed ground.
The pack also creates smoother snow coverage across hills and mountains, helping snowy forests, frozen rivers, villages, and peaks look cleaner and more natural. It keeps the vanilla experience intact while adding meaningful visual polish, making exploration and building in winter areas more immersive.
