YUNG’s Better Mineshafts transforms Minecraft’s abandoned mineshafts into sprawling, varied networks of tunnels instead of predictable straight corridors. This world generation mod adds thirteen biome variants, including a rare mushroom mineshaft, along with abandoned workstations, cellars, miners’ outposts, surface openings, and minecart chests.

Some tunnels lead to ore deposits containing coal, iron, redstone, gold, lapis lazuli, emeralds, and occasionally diamonds. The structures are also highly configurable and designed to work well with other world generation mods, making exploration more rewarding on a cooperative Minecraft server.
