Item Highlighter is a practical client side mod for Java Edition that makes newly collected items easier to spot in a crowded inventory. Each freshly picked up item receives an animated star marker, helping you quickly identify loot, resources, and drops during exploration or combat. It works with Forge and NeoForge, making it a useful addition to many modded setups.

The marker behavior can be adjusted to disappear when you hover over an item or close the inventory. You can also keep the classic gold color or match the item’s rarity colors. On a Minecraft server, our BoxToPlay experience becomes clearer and more convenient with this lightweight quality of life enhancement.
