True Gas Mask is a Minecraft Bedrock add on that transforms mining into a hazardous survival challenge. From Y 18 downward, toxic air steadily damages unprotected players, turning every descent in the Overworld into a race against time. A gas mask becomes essential equipment for reaching ores safely and extending underground expeditions.

The add on introduces several mask tiers, including iron, diamond, and netherite variants, with custom textures and protective effects. Water breathing can prevent underground damage while active, while the Nether is also contaminated but less lethal. On our Minecraft server, BoxToPlay makes this atmospheric mechanic a tense addition to cooperative survival.
