Webcam is a Java Edition mod and plugin that lets players broadcast live video from their webcams inside a Minecraft server. Streams can appear in configurable shapes and sizes, at chosen positions, with options to display them on a player’s face or hide selected players.
The project uses H.264 video, UDP transmission, AES encryption, adjustable bitrate, viewing distance, and permissions for broadcasting and watching. Its Velocity proxy support routes webcam traffic from several backend servers through one port, making it practical for connected networks. At BoxToPlay, we see it as a social feature for events, communities, and immersive multiplayer interaction.
