Topaz, FOSS Anti VPN protection for Velocity

Topaz is a lightweight, open source plugin for the Velocity proxy, created to identify and restrict connections using VPNs or other proxy services. It adds an extra security layer before players reach the servers behind your network, helping reduce ban evasion, abusive connections, and anonymous access.

Designed for a Minecraft server, Topaz checks player IP addresses through ProxyCheck.io and uses caching to limit repeated queries. Administrators can adjust the cache interval and grant trusted staff the topaz.bypass permission. Licensed under GPL 3.0, it supports Java Edition versions from 1.7 through 1.21.6. At BoxToPlay, it is a practical choice for improving proxy level control.
