Snap is an experimental Velocity proxy plugin that lets a Minecraft server load plugins created for the BungeeCord or Waterfall API. It acts as a compatibility layer, using its own Bungee plugin manager while translating classes, methods, and events so established network tools can operate on Velocity.
This can simplify a proxy migration and preserve familiar features, but compatibility is not complete. Some permissions, scoreboards, reconnect functions, packet related behavior, and events may be unavailable or behave differently, while translation is less efficient than a native Velocity plugin. At BoxToPlay, we recommend treating Snap as a practical bridge and checking each plugin carefully before relying on it in production.
