hostprofiles is a Java Edition plugin for Paper and Velocity that detects the hostname used when a player joins a Minecraft server. It can then associate that connection with a separate game profile, including a different UUID, username, and skin, while retaining the player’s normal identity on the regular address.

This makes it useful for server owners who want a discreet administration or alternate persona address. Administrators can define profile mappings, decide whether unmatched players are kicked, configure a distinct MOTD, and keep the original skin when needed. The Velocity build is the most stable option, and BoxToPlay makes this server management feature easy to include in a hosted setup.
