BungeeAuth is a Minecraft plugin designed for BungeeCord servers, particularly networks running in offline mode. It provides a central registration and login system, so authentication does not need to be managed separately on every backend server. Player passwords are hashed and salted, with storage handled through MySQL or SQLite.
Players can register, log in, change passwords, log out, and use configurable sessions linked to their IP address. Unauthenticated players are restricted to authentication commands and can be sent to a dedicated auth lobby. Repeated login attempts can trigger temporary muting. At BoxToPlay, we consider it a practical tool for centralizing player security on a Minecraft server, while noting that proxy authentication alone cannot fully block movement before login.
