UnstableSMPDeaths is a lightweight Minecraft server plugin for Java Edition that replaces global death chat with a more immersive, proximity based system. When a player dies, only players within the configured radius can see the message, helping survival gameplay feel more personal and reducing unnecessary chat spam.
Our BoxToPlay presentation highlights its configurable radius, optional same world restriction, colored message prefix, and customizable sound effects for nearby players, with an option to include the dying player. Settings are managed through config.yml, covering formatting, sound, volume, pitch, and debug options. The plugin supports Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, and Spigot servers, with compatibility for Minecraft 1.20 through 1.21.11 and Java 17 or newer.
