Better Safe Bed is a lightweight server side mod for Minecraft Java Edition that fixes an especially frustrating sleep restriction. In vanilla gameplay, a hostile mob within eight blocks horizontally and five blocks vertically of a bed can prevent rest, even when walls make the player completely safe. The mod adds an extra safety check, allowing sleep when nearby monsters cannot actually reach or target the player, including mobs hidden in caves beneath a base, outside its walls, or on the roof.

Compatible with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt across several Minecraft versions, it preserves the normal survival experience while removing needless interruptions. Our BoxToPlay team recommends it for comfortable cooperative play on any Minecraft server.
