Mediumcore, a balanced Minecraft difficulty

Mediumcore is a Java Edition mod that creates a middle ground between Regular Survival and Hardcore. It keeps normal exploration, combat, building, and respawning, but gives every death a lasting cost. Each death removes one heart from the player’s maximum health, down to a minimum of three hearts. This makes dangerous expeditions and teamwork far more meaningful on a Minecraft server without deleting the world after a mistake.

Missing health can be recovered by eating Golden Apples or Enchanted Golden Apples, while configuration options let server owners adjust starting health, limits, and recovery rules. With its flexible multiplayer design, Mediumcore gives our BoxToPlay Minecraft server a tense but forgiving survival experience.
