SetRankPEX is a legacy Bukkit plugin that streamlines rank management on a Minecraft server using PermissionsEx. Instead of entering the longer PermissionsEx syntax, administrators can use /setrank <player> <rank> to assign a group quickly. The plugin also provides aliases such as /rank, /setgroup, and /group, with permission nodes that can restrict access to specific ranks.

Server owners can optionally broadcast rank changes, customize messages with color codes, and configure separate join messages for administrators and owners.
