CompassModes is a legacy Bukkit plugin that transforms the standard compass into a flexible navigation tool. It lets each player choose a compass mode while server owners define default or forced behavior for individual worlds. Available targets include world spawn, a player’s current position, fixed coordinates, the nearest player, a selected player, the last death location, a bed, or an Essentials home. A random mode can also reproduce Nether style compass movement.
Permissions control access to each mode and administrative commands, while configuration options set tracking range, respawn compass delivery, item retention, and a forced inventory slot. For an adventure focused Minecraft server, our BoxToPlay experience makes this focused utility easy to integrate into varied gameplay rules.
