Sculk Virus, Evolving Infection

Sculk Virus is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition 1.21 that adds a progressive infection mechanic to survival gameplay. Once affected, the player moves through six stages, with symptoms becoming increasingly dangerous before a final transformation grants powerful abilities. Darkness, mining fatigue, slowness, weakness, reduced health, and situational penalties create constant pressure, while later stages can restore health and provide resistance, fire resistance, speed, or aquatic abilities.

Craftable virus, healing, antidote, and reset potions give players ways to manage the condition, but curing it is not always the best choice. On a Minecraft server, our BoxToPlay team recommends it for adventure focused survival and tense multiplayer challenges.
