BetterWaypoint, enhanced locator icons

BetterWaypoint is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition that improves the visual experience of the vanilla Locator Bar. Designed for Minecraft 1.21.6 snapshot, it works alongside a resource pack to add custom mini icons for native creatures, making nearby mobs easier to recognize at a glance.

The pack can track selected creatures by category or species, limit how many icons appear, and adjust tracking range. Waypoints also become more transparent with distance, while personalized player avatars help friends identify one another. For a clearer Minecraft server interface, our BoxToPlay team considers it a practical and attractive upgrade to vanilla navigation.
