AFKManagerX is a lightweight AFK detection plugin created for Minecraft Java servers running Paper 1.21.4. It monitors player activity through movement, commands, and block interactions, then marks inactive players as AFK after a configurable delay.
The plugin also offers an automatic kick system, customizable warnings, adjustable time settings, an AFK player list, and configuration reloading without restarting the server. Built with JDK 23, it was designed to keep logging and performance overhead low. AFKManagerX is discontinued and no longer maintained, but BoxToPlay can help you understand its place in a server management setup.
