Sumo, the competitive arena plugin

Sumo brings fast, accessible push battles to a Minecraft server. Two players face each other in a ring and must knock their opponent out, creating short matches that are easy to understand and exciting to repeat. Multiple arenas can run simultaneously, while a queue and arena selector help players find an available match quickly.

The plugin keeps wins, losses, current streaks and personal best streaks in persistent SQL storage, with SQLite for simple setups and MySQL or MariaDB for networks. Administrators can tune strength, vertical lift and friction separately for every arena. English and Italian are included, and additional translations can be added through language files. At BoxToPlay, it offers a practical way to enrich a competitive Minecraft server.
