DynamicLights, mobile lighting for Minecraft servers

DynamicLights is a Java plugin for Spigot and Paper that makes held and worn light sources illuminate nearby areas. Torches, lanterns, glowstone and other configured items can follow players as they explore caves, mines and dark locations, without requiring client side mods. The plugin uses invisible Light Blocks introduced in Minecraft 1.17, sending visual block changes to nearby players while leaving the actual world untouched.

Brightness, supported materials and underwater behavior can be customized through configuration. Our BoxToPlay team recommends it for a more immersive Minecraft server experience, especially for survival, adventure and exploration focused communities.
