Toxic Skies is a legacy Bukkit plugin that transforms the surface of a Minecraft server into a deadly environment. It darkens the skies, can maintain stormy weather, reduces visibility, and fills the open air with toxic fumes that periodically poison exposed players. Remaining above ground without protection can eventually be fatal, encouraging underground shelters, careful expeditions, and resource management.

Pumpkins act as gas masks, protecting players for a limited time, while configurable poison effects, damage, checking intervals, helmet materials, affected worlds, and weather modes let administrators shape the difficulty.
