Zombies Reworked, Smarter Undead for Minecraft

Zombies Reworked is a Forge mod for Minecraft Java Edition that transforms ordinary undead into a far more threatening force. It improves zombie awareness, group behavior, attack range, movement, and night speed, while allowing some zombies to use equipment such as shields, flint and steel, ender pearls, spyglasses, and totems of undying. Its lightweight design and extensive configuration make it suitable for survival, adventure, and apocalyptic modpacks.

The mod also introduces zombie hordes, optional sun immunity, drowned captures while fishing, and an infection mechanic that can turn slain players into zombies, sometimes retaining their name or equipment. On our Minecraft server at BoxToPlay, it adds tension to every night without overwhelming a larger modpack.
