Separated Leaves is a server side Minecraft mod that changes how leaf decay works. Each leaf type recognizes only its matching log type, so oak leaves no longer remain attached through nearby birch wood, and mixed trees behave more naturally when one trunk is removed.

This utility is especially useful for detailed builds and tree farms, since decorative logs can be placed beside foliage without accidentally preventing decay. The mod is data driven, supports custom compatibility through data packs, and includes integrations with several popular mods. On our Minecraft server at BoxToPlay, it adds a small but practical improvement for builders and survival players.
