Cocoon, Plugin and Mod Runtime Library

Cocoon is a technical library for Minecraft Java Edition that provides a shared runtime layer for compatible plugins and mods. Rather than adding new blocks, items, or gameplay systems on its own, it helps supported projects operate across different server and modding environments, including Bukkit, Fabric, and Forge.

Designed for server side use and singleplayer environments, Cocoon supports Minecraft 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, and 1.20.1, with separate client and server runtime components. It is especially useful as a compatibility foundation for a Minecraft server. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it when another project lists Cocoon as a required library.
