Dynamic Lights, portable lighting for Minecraft servers

Dynamic Lights is a Java plugin for a Minecraft server that makes selected light emitting items illuminate the area while held. Torches, redstone torches, lanterns, sea lanterns, shroomlights, lava buckets, and other configured items can provide practical light during cave exploration or night travel, without placing blocks everywhere.

The plugin updates nearby lighting in real time and can also track mobs or dropped items, making them glow when configured. Administrators can adjust available light sources, brightness, update frequency, asynchronous processing, and toggle options. At BoxToPlay, it adds a more immersive exploration experience without requiring players to install a client side mod.
