Improved Tridents is a Minecraft datapack for Java Edition 1.21 and later that gives the trident a more practical role beside the sword. It preserves the weapon’s melee and ranged identity while adding balanced quality of life changes for survival gameplay and a Minecraft server.

Tridents become craftable with prismatic shards and breeze rods, smeltable into a breeze rod, and Loyalty tridents return even from the Void. The datapack also expands enchanting with options such as Looting, Fire Aspect, Knockback, Piercing, Sharpness, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, and broader Impaling effects.
