Rapiers, a spear and sword datapack

Rapiers is a Minecraft Java Edition datapack that introduces a tiered weapon family designed to sit between swords and spears. Crafted by rotating standard sword recipes, these weapons come in familiar materials, from wood to netherite, adding a distinctive option for survival, adventure, and PvP on a Minecraft server.

While moving, a rapier can sweep like a sword. When sprinting or standing still, it changes into a forward stab with extra reach and piercing potential. Right click also enables melee guarding, reducing incoming melee damage, although shields and ranged off hand items cannot be used with it.
