Distant Horizons is a Minecraft mod that adds a smart level of detail system, rendering simplified terrain far beyond the normal view distance. Instead of loading full chunks, it generates lightweight low resolution models so you can admire vast landscapes from your lookout tower without turning your game into a slideshow. It is client side focused and works in singleplayer and on any compatible Minecraft server.
