Checkers, Play Draughts on a Minecraft Server

Checkers is a Bukkit plugin that brings the classic board game, also called draughts, into a Minecraft server. Players can challenge friends or face a basic computer opponent through matches arranged on boards in the game world, turning a hub, lobby, or social area into a lively tabletop space.

The plugin supports multiple boards, several simultaneous matches, different board styles, configurable rule sets such as American Checkers, English Draughts, and Canadian Checkers, plus permissions support. Players can also move around boards without needing Creative mode. At BoxToPlay, we present it as a lighthearted way to add variety and friendly competition beyond ordinary Minecraft activities.
