NewTrans, multilingual chat for a Minecraft server

NewTrans is a Bukkit plugin designed to translate in game chat in real time, helping international players communicate on the same Minecraft server. Originally created around the Yandex translation API, the project documentation later describes Google API support from version 1.1.0, so its historical presentation can vary.

The plugin supports around 90 languages and can translate public chat, /say, private messages with /msg and /r, plus direct translation requests. Players can choose their language, while administrators can manage language settings and customize messages and defaults. At BoxToPlay, we see it as a practical legacy solution for multilingual communities, especially on older Bukkit based servers.
