Catenary, hanging chains and ziplines

Catenary is a Minecraft datapack that adds decorative hanging chains and ropes without requiring a resource pack. Using special items, you can connect two anchor points with flexible lines, place them away from the block grid, and create suspension bridges, cables, lantern displays, cranes, or detailed industrial builds. Optional decorations can hang beneath the rope, including alternating materials, lights, and custom text made with player heads.

On a Minecraft server, players can also ride these lines as ziplines with acceleration and drag. Connected routes preserve momentum, while mount pads and lift upgrades expand the possibilities. We recommend Catenary through BoxToPlay for creative building and practical traversal.
