This privacy policy describes how ByteLogic LLC collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our BoxToPlay services.
If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our services. If you still have questions or concerns, please contact us via our support tickets: https://www.boxtoplay.com/tickets
Depending on the context, we act either as a data controller or as a data processor.
If you need a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), please contact our support team to obtain it.
We only collect your first name, last name, and email address when you create an account. No other personal data is required.
All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate. You must notify us of any changes.
We do not process sensitive information.
As a hosting provider, we process limited technical data to operate and secure the service.
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely based on automated processing. Some automated rules may temporarily restrict traffic to protect against abuse (e.g., DDoS mitigation).
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on to process your personal information.
We may share information in specific situations and with specific categories of third parties.
We share only what is strictly necessary with a few service providers (e.g., transactional email) to deliver the service. We do not sell your personal data.
Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), where data protection laws may differ. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we implement appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable data protection laws. These safeguards include:
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to access or store information.
Specific information about how we use such technologies is set out in our Cookie Notice.
You can manage your cookie preferences from your browser settings or by using the cookie controls displayed on our site.
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
We retain your personal information for as long as you maintain an active account with us. We do not automatically delete inactive accounts unless you explicitly request deletion.
When you request account deletion, we immediately delete all your personal information, except where retention is required by law (e.g., for tax or legal compliance purposes).
We perform regular backups or snapshots to help recover from incidents. Backup retention windows are limited and roll over automatically; when retention expires, backups are deleted or overwritten.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by applicable data protection laws. We will provide you with information about the nature of the breach, the likely consequences, and the measures we have taken or propose to take to address the breach.
Our support staff may access your service configuration strictly to troubleshoot issues you request.
We review all law enforcement and legal requests. We only disclose data when legally required and after verifying the request’s validity.
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18.
If you become aware of any data collected from children under age 18, please contact us via our support tickets: https://www.boxtoplay.com/tickets
We will respond to your request within one month of receipt. If your request is particularly complex or you have made multiple requests, we may extend this period by a further two months, in which case we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay.
If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
You can unsubscribe from our marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails we send.
You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account.
If you are located in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track feature. Currently, we do not respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals.
Californias Shine The Light law permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information disclosed to third parties.
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post.
Depending on your state of residence in the United States (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah), you may have specific privacy rights. This section explains those rights and how to exercise them with us.
We collect only the minimum personal information needed to provide our services (first name, last name, email), plus technical data strictly necessary for security and service operation (e.g., IP logs, telemetry for DDoS mitigation). See sections above for details.
To submit a request (access, deletion, correction, portability, or opt-out), open a support ticket: https://www.boxtoplay.com/tickets. We will verify your request as required by applicable law. Authorized agent requests are accepted with proper proof.
If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing where applicable.
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by applicable US state laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated Revised date.
