DeepslateCutting is a utility mod for Minecraft Java Edition that lets you place regular deepslate in the stonecutter, instead of needing cobbled deepslate first. It makes Silk Touch mining far more practical, turning collected blocks directly into decorative deepslate building materials and streamlining construction.

The mod supports Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt across several Minecraft versions from 1.17 onward, with client side and server side compatibility. On Fabric and Quilt, it can also add regular deepslate versions of slabs, stairs, and walls, although those extra variants are disabled by default. We recommend it for any BoxToPlay Minecraft server focused on building, resource efficiency, and smoother survival progression.
