Starlight is a Fabric performance mod that completely rewrites Minecraft’s light engine to remove long lighting calculations and visual glitches. Instead of updating light step by step, it processes chunks in large, optimized batches, which dramatically reduces server lag when generating terrain or editing huge areas. This makes it ideal for a busy Minecraft server with many players online.

Originally built for large dedicated servers, it focuses purely on light performance and correctness, without changing gameplay. On our BoxToPlay infrastructure, it helps keep worlds smooth and responsive even during heavy activity or automated farms.
