Cowardless, NPC protection against combat logging

Cowardless is a Minecraft plugin for Java Edition servers running platforms such as Spigot, Paper, Purpur, or Folia. It replaces a player who disconnects while in combat, or while taking ongoing environmental damage, with a temporary clone at the same location. Other players can attack and kill this NPC instead of seeing the combatant escape.

The clone mirrors the player’s position, health, inventory, and death status. If it survives, it eventually despawns, while configuration options control combat duration, clone lifetime, console logging, and a red combat warning effect.
