Client Detector is a lightweight Minecraft server plugin for Paper and Purpur that helps staff identify the client brand reported by each player. With a command, administrators can check an individual player, while an optional join notification displays the detected brand to authorized staff.

The plugin can also apply client whitelist and blacklist rules, allowing a server to restrict selected brands or permit only approved ones. It recognizes brands such as Fabric, Forge, OptiFine, Lunar Client, and Geyser when they are reported honestly, but it is not an anti cheat and cannot reliably detect clients that disguise themselves.
