CurseBan is a Bukkit plugin designed to moderate chat on a Minecraft server by tracking inappropriate language. Administrators create a list of monitored words, and each term can carry a specific point value. When a player uses one, the plugin can kick them, add points to their record, or execute a configured command after reaching a threshold. Actions may include warnings, jail commands, or bans, depending on the server’s rules.
CurseBan also supports different matching modes, case insensitive detection, cooldowns that reduce accumulated points, permissions, and action logging. We consider it a practical tool for family friendly moderation on BoxToPlay servers, although its original compatibility targets older Bukkit versions.
