CityLanterns is a legacy Bukkit plugin that automates selected redstone lanterns on a Minecraft server according to in game time. Administrators can organize lanterns into groups, then define when each group switches on or off, such as sunset or midnight. Settings can also respond to daytime, nighttime, and thunder conditions, creating more convincing streets, parks, and city districts without manual redstone circuits.
Lanterns are assigned with a selection tool, while commands manage groups, settings, and reloads. WorldEdit support can apply a group to an entire selected region. At BoxToPlay, we recommend it mainly for older Bukkit environments and nostalgic city building projects, since its documented compatibility targets Minecraft 1.6.4 through 1.7.9.
