RME’s Campfire Leather is a Minecraft Java datapack that gives rotten flesh a useful, carefully balanced purpose. Instead of converting every piece directly into leather, it lets players cook rotten flesh on a soul campfire, with a default 20 percent chance of producing one leather. Failed pieces simply burn away, preventing abundant zombie drops from making leather effortless.

By default, ordinary campfires do not process rotten flesh, encouraging a Nether trip to obtain soul sand and create the required cooking station. The behavior can be adjusted with datapack functions, making it suitable for survival worlds and a balanced Minecraft server.
