VanillaBackport Mob Variants Compat is a Java Edition datapack that connects VanillaBackport’s biome based animal variants with several popular biome generation mods. It adds compatibility for pigs, cows, chickens, and wolves in Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone and Terralith, while Nature’s Spirit and Biomes O’ Plenty receive wolf variant support.

Designed for VanillaBackport 1.1.5 and later, it helps modded landscapes feel more coherent by letting animal appearances match their surroundings. The result is a more varied, immersive experience for exploration and survival on a Minecraft server, including worlds managed with BoxToPlay. It supports Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
