Sensible Smithing Templates for Minecraft

Sensible Smithing Templates is a Minecraft Java datapack that makes Smithing Template duplication more practical by reducing its Diamond cost. Instead of using seven Diamonds around a template, recipes generally place the template’s matching material around a single Diamond, making armor trims and upgrades easier to pursue during normal survival gameplay.

The datapack also adjusts selected materials to better match each template’s appearance, such as Nether Bricks for the Rib Armor Trim, Purpur Pillars for the Spire Armor Trim, and Prismarine Bricks for the Tide Armor Trim. It works in singleplayer and on a Minecraft server, offering a smoother progression that our BoxToPlay team considers ideal for customization focused survival experiences.
