Better Wolf Variants, Enhanced Wolves Datapack

Better Wolf Variants is a Minecraft datapack that gives the game’s wolf variants a stronger gameplay identity. Each type receives a distinct perk: Ashen wolves run faster, Rusty wolves resist poison, Striped wolves ignore fire damage, and Spotted wolves improve natural loot. The common Woods variant remains without a special bonus.

The pack also expands the role of armadillo scutes with useful recipes, including an armadillo helmet, shields, improved wolf armor, and protective equipment. A rare Great Wolf can spawn with extra health and one of three abilities.
