Surveyor Map Framework is an open source backend and API for cooperative Minecraft map and waypoint mods. Designed for a Java Edition Minecraft server, it records explored terrain, waypoints, structures, and other points of interest, then keeps that information available across compatible map interfaces. Players can see one another on the map, share exploration with selected friends, and recover their map data when changing computers or instances.
Its modular design supports projects such as Antique Atlas 4, Hoofprint, and Dead Reckoning, while compatibility add ons can display landmarks from mods including Waystones and OPAC. With support for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt, Surveyor gives our BoxToPlay server a flexible foundation for shared exploration.
